The Spirit is alive
and at work through All Saints'. Be sure to read our weekly
bulletin calendars available at all services for more current information about
each ministry. Getting involved is the best way to show your love for Christ.
Neighbors
[Nursing Home Ministry]
A group who enjoy fellowship and meeting some of the needs of our neighbors at the Maryland Gardens nursing home across the street from the church meets each Monday at the facility to conduct bingo games, put on birthday parties and other activities, such as the "Christmas Present Project" for all the residents. They also help by bringing some of the residents to church on Sunday.
Andre House
All
Saints' helps out at this downtown soup kitchen on the first and third Monday of
every month. The group carpools from the church at 3:00 p.m. and returns by 7:15
p.m. Join the rewarding experience of preparing food and serving over 500
dinners to the homeless and hungry in our community.
Interfaith Cooperative Ministries
A rewarding opportunity to help those in need in our community. This ecumenical agency provides food and supplies, some direct assistance, referrals and clothing.
Volunteers from the church assist on-location at ICM directly helping those in
need. Applicants for assistance must provide current resident rent receipts and other forms of I.D.
Another way people can volunteer is with donations. A cart for the collection of canned and packaged foods, clothing and baby items is available on the Church Patio. Monetary donations are made from a variety of sources.
Sudanese Education Program All
Saints’ is the spiritual home to a number of Episcopal refugees from Sudan,
Africa. As the survivors of religious persecution, they bring their gift of deep
and abiding spirituality. All Saints’ welcomes them as full members of our
parish life and community. Most come from a refugee camp in Kakuma, Kenya.
Others escaped Sudan through refugee centers in Egypt, Ethiopia and Uganda. All
are refugees from the brutal racial and religious holocaust that has claimed two
million lives, including many of their family members and loved ones. They are
goal-oriented, highly motivated, dedicated workers and learners, whose basic
educational opportunities were limited by the war. All Saints’ is blessed with
the opportunity to help them achieve success and independence here. The keys
are GED’s, and college. Through generous monetary donations to our Sudanese
Education Fund, we provide scholarships and tutoring. All Saints’ hopes to
sustain and expand this core education program.
The Sudanese Ministry also offers services in the “mother
tongue” on the first and third Sunday of the month, as well as on Christmas and
Easter.

Episcopal Coalition to support Habitat for Humanity projects in Phoenix and

clean, affordable homes for needy families. Habitat’s unique program
coordinates funding from individuals, churches, and companies with volunteers
who work side by side with selected families in building their new home. The
Coalition is a group of Phoenix Episcopal Churches organized to fund and build
homes for Habitat. Organized in 1998, the Coalition has raised the funds, and
built four houses at the Habitat for Humanity “South Ranch” project in Phoenix.
Participating churches include St. Barnabas, Christ Church, St. Matthew’s, Good
Shepherd, Trinity, St. Jame’s, Holy Innocents, St. Anthony, St. John’s,
Glendale, and St. Stephen’s.
VICaP - Faith in Action [formerly Volunteer Interfaith Caregivers Program]

El Hogar Project
For the past several years, the Sunday School program at All Saints' has donated their Lenten Mite Box collection money to the scholarship of a young boy in Honduras. He lives at El Hogar, a home for abandoned boys started and supported by the Episcopal Church. El Hogar feeds, clothes, educates and teaches a trade to the boys who live there with the hope that the cycle of poverty can be broken for them. This project teaches the children about another culture as well as the need for giving globally as well as locally.
Pura Vida
Coffee Project: It’s Great Coffee for a Great Cause. We sell bags
of coffee on the patio after the Sunday 10:00 a.m. service as it is available.
