Behind the Curtain of Into the Woods

Behind the Curtain of Into the Woods
Dr. Emma Whitman, Head of School

I can hardly wait for the premiere of our Theater department’s spring musical this week, Into the Woods Jr! Over the past few months, Ms. Balogh and several of our middle school students have spent countless hours working on the production. I am so proud of their hard work and dedication. The students are all very excited to share their work with the All Saints’ community this weekend.

Recently, I had the chance to talk to a few cast members about their experience preparing for the musical. Of course, many of them talked about the challenge of memorizing lines, songs, and choreography. Some mentioned the fun of designing costumes and creating the set. However, what stood out to me the most was that virtually every student mentioned how great it was to get to know their fellow cast members and to work together on the production. You can hear more about their experiences below.

I hope you’ll be able to join us for Into The Woods Jr. this weekend. You can use this link to buy your tickets (students through eighth grade are free) Here are the showtimes:

Friday, April 19, at 7:00 p.m.
Saturday, April 20, at 7:00 p.m.
Sunday, April 21, at 2:00 p.m.

Please feel free to forward the link to your friends and neighbors outside of All Saints’—all are welcome!

We look forward to seeing you there!
