Guide to School Search

Selecting the right school for your family is an important decision. Whether you’re navigating this journey for the first time or reevaluating your child’s current educational environment, finding a school that aligns with your family’s values, needs, and aspirations can be both exciting and daunting. Here at All Saints’, we have walked with countless families through the search process and wanted to share some helpful tips as you begin your journey.

Our Top Search Tips

Visit Campus
First, there’s no better way to explore a program than by visiting campus and talking with folks who know the school best. Your school search should be broad and diverse. At the other end of the exploration process, you will have a better idea of which school best serves your family’s individual needs.
Learn about the school’s mission and educational priorities. Meet faculty members and ask them to explain their approach to instruction. Make note of how the campus feels while getting a first-hand sense of the school community.

Observe Relationships
Selecting the right school comes down to one very simple concept: relationships. The right school will understand that healthy relationships reinforce a successful learning experience for students. Pay close attention to the relationships between teachers and students, between administrators and parents, and between the school and the larger community.

Supplement your Open House with a Personal Tour
Open Houses give you a rounded experience and lots of light touches with a variety of school constituents. If you want a more personalized experience with a deep dive into program structure, curriculum, and educational philosophy, schedule a personal tour with the Admissions department. Schools will gladly welcome you back for another visit.
