An independent school education is an investment in your child’s future. An All Saints’ education goes above and beyond. Just a few of the benefits that make an All Saints’ education exceptional include:

  • Average class size of 16 students with an overall 10:1 student-teacher ratio school-wide
  • One-to-one iPad program for students in kindergarten through eighth grade
  • National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS) and National Association of Episcopal Schools (NAES) accreditation

Not to mention the rich sense of history and tradition that is uniquely All Saints’.

Affording All Saints'

All Saints’ recognizes that paying for an independent school education can be a challenge for families. It is our goal that economic standing should not be a determining factor in admission to All Saints’. When All Saints’ is the right fit for your child and family, but the full cost of tuition is out of reach, our Indexed Tuition program might be one option to explore.

What is Indexed Tuition?

All Saints’ Board of Trustees is committed to creating a school community that is truly inclusive, diverse, and accessible to a wide range of families. To help ensure that we fully embrace this pledge, All Saints’ Episcopal Day School has adopted an Indexed Tuition model.

The Indexed Tuition model sets each student’s tuition based on its family’s unique circumstances and financial resources. In adopting this approach each family pays tuition in an equitable manner commensurate with their available resources. While every family is expected to contribute to the cost of tuition, the School does not expect that all families are able to afford the top of the tuition range.

Indexed Tuition Guiding Principles

  • All Saints’ admission decisions are need-blind. The application processes for admission and Indexed Tuition run concurrently but separately.
  • Indexed Tuition is available for pre-kindergarten through eighth-grade students.
  • The School first offers Indexed Tuition to returning families who continue to qualify, then to current families not previously receiving Indexed Tuition, and lastly to new families joining the school community.
  • Indexed Tuition eligibility is reviewed annually on the basis of the family’s current financial status.
  • To be considered for Indexed Tuition, each family must complete and submit a Parents’ Financial Statement (PFS) using the School and Student Service (SSS) platform by Community Brands, as well as supporting documentation, including income statements and tax returns. Click here for more information.
  • If a child’s parents are separated or divorced, All Saints’ expects both parents to participate in the Indexed Tuition process. It is the responsibility of the separated or divorced parents to coordinate the submission of the Parents’ Financial Statement for each household.  If either parent has remarried, the School will also consider the income and assets of the stepparent, always keeping in mind the obligation of that stepparent to his or her own children.

Please contact Dan Waage if you have any questions about Indexed Tuition.

List of 7 frequently asked questions.

  • Q: Who can apply for Indexed Tuition?

    A. Any family can apply for the Indexed Tuition program. Depending on the family’s financial circumstances, its tuition may be set below the maximum tuition. Click the link below for more information.

    Who Can Apply?
  • Q: When do I apply for Indexed Tuition?

New families seeking admission to All Saints' should complete the Parents' Financial Statement (PFS) at the same time as their application for admission. The two processes run concurrently. Returning families should complete the PFS on an annual basis and adhere to the timeline found here.
  • Q:
    How is Indexed Tuition calculated?

While many families might have similar incomes, they may demonstrate differing abilities to pay based on other financial circumstances. The Indexed Tuition committee reviews each application individually with consideration of a family’s complete financial picture. Learn more about how Indexed Tuition is determined here.
  • Q: What if I have multiple children at different tuition charging schools?

The School takes into consideration all educational expenses in determining what a family is expected to pay. In cases where one child attends a tuition charging school that does not offer Indexed Tuition, or financial aid, this may impact their Indexed Tuition. Learn more using the link below:

    Who Should Apply?
  • Q: Will applying for Indexed Tuition affect my child's chances of being admitted?

No.  The application process for admission and Indexed Tuition run concurrently but separately.  We will inform you separately as to whether your child is admissible, and if you qualify for an adjusted tuition amount.  Because we strive to balance Indexed Tuition over a range of income levels, grades, and other factors, we may not be able to offer a place to every student who qualifies for both admission and Indexed Tuition.
  • Q: If I don't qualify for Indexed Tuition, may I apply later?

    A. If a family does not qualify for Indexed Tuition, they are welcome to apply in subsequent years. Financial circumstances may change, and other factors such as an additional child starting in a tuition-charging school may affect the outcome.
  • Q: I have never applied for Indexed Tuition before at an independent school. Do you have any tips or advice?

    A. The SSS site has many tools and resources available to families applying for Indexed Tuition. We encourage you to take advantage of these resources. In addition, please feel free to contact Dan Waage at dwaage@allsaints.org with any questions.
