In 2017, we launched the most ambitious Capital Campaign in All Saints’ history with the overarching goal of creating the ideal educational environment for our students. Through the support of our incredible community, the Campaign successfully reached the $14 million goal to bring our vision to reality— far and away the largest campaign in All Saints’ 60-year history.

Because of our generous donors, we now truly have a campus built on our history and designed for our future. In 2022, we were overjoyed to open the doors to the Christopher Ray Milisci Academic Building, followed by the Shaver Learning Commons in the fall of 2023. As you walk through each space, you’ll notice special nods to our past and boundless opportunities for our future. There is no doubt that the impact of the Campaign will profoundly impact students for generations to come.

While we have met our goal and completed the work on this project, the story is just beginning. Our new facilities will allow us to make new memories, while continuing our tradition of academic excellence, community, and character cultivation.

Our Campus Evolution

In our vision for the future of our School, the spaces where learning takes place serve as a catalyst for the educational experience when paired with our dynamic educators, leaders, and community. Our campus has evolved into a space where students can learn in both traditional classrooms and innovative and flexible outdoor learning environments.

Project Timeline

2004–2014

The Envisioning the Future Capital Campaign allows for the acquisition of land to the north of campus.

Fall 2014

Demolition begins on land acquired to the north of campus to open new athletic fields, more green space and gardens, and provide additional space for future buildings. A new walkway called "All Saints' Way" is constructed in place of Stella Lane.

2017

The School launches the Passion. Purpose. Impact. Capital Campaign. The Campaign is built on the following core ideas: the campus evolves into a space where students can learn in both traditional classrooms and innovative classrooms of the future.

Fall 2021

Early support raises $10M, allowing for the groundbreaking of the Christopher Ray Milisci Academic Building.

Fall 2022

In October 2022, a Dedication and Celebration event marks the opening of the Christopher Ray Milisci Academic Building and 60 years of educating students—mind, body, and soul.

August 2023

The Shaver Learning Commons opens on the first day of school. Marrying the new and existing parts of campus, the 45,000 square foot space provides opportunities to explore new methods for teaching and learning and also adds new spaces for our community to gather and create lasting memories.

SLC in Action

Second-grade students in Ms. Davis’ class love to use the Shaver Learning Commons! Students have taken advantage of the cooler weather and shaded spaces to take a break from the classroom and get some fresh air while they learn. Follow along to see how they have recently used the new space.

Kids researching outdoors

In October, the students began research on what vegetables grow well in Arizona in the fall/winter.  Through this research, they also learned about companion plants, and how to design a garden space that would make the plants flourish.

Students studying outside in garden

Students brought out tape measures and rulers to measure the garden space in both feet and inches so they could use the planting directions of each plant to space them correctly and know how many plants to buy.  The students also practiced reading a clock to determine the sun and shade at different times of the day and diagrammed where the shade and sun spots were on our garden using fractions.

Next, the students drew out a mock garden on paper and spaced the plants out and submitted their ideas.  Finally, it was time for the fun part, getting dirty and planting the seeds and plants.

Shaver Learning Commons cauliflower

As a class, they have tended to their garden daily, checking for weeds, and watering if the soil was looking dry. So far the kids have been able to taste a beautiful cauliflower. Other vegetables that are going to be ready soon are carrots, peas, cilantro, and beans.
